Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) is a FREE community resource service that provides information and referral services to families seeking care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, before- and aftercare for school-age children, and information on summer camps in Pinellas County.

How to Identify a Quality Child Care Provider
FACTORS FAMILIES SHOULD CONSIDER:
- Location
- Hours of Operation
- Facility Type
- Health and Safety
- Class Size
- Transportation Availability
DO YOUR RESEARCH:
- Contact a CCR&R representative to provide a list
of child care providers that meet your family’s requirements. - Visit at least three child care providers in your area
- Talk with the centers or homes’ educators, who should be caring, qualified, and well-organized.
- Stay for at least 30 minutes, walk around, and observe the whole program.
- The right early learning program helps your child learn new skills and develop socially.
- Look for positive and caring relationships between teachers and children.
