
This grant is available to School Readiness and/or VPK contracted providers whose most recent CLASS composite score is < 5 or does not have a score. Benefits include onboarding incentives and training with completion bonuses.
Onboarding Incentives (available to
new staff hired after 7/1/22):
$500 upon successful completion of background screening and 120 hours on-the-job (all providers including school-age)
$700 upon successful completion of DCF pre-service training (all providers including school-age)
Training/Bonus Opportunities***

Up to two 24-hour segments training may be completed:
Early Learning Educators $500 first segment/$700 second segment
Early Learning Directors $600 first segment/$800 second segment
CLASS Group Coaching (MMCI)
Infant/Toddler Track (birth to three)
Preschool Track (three to five)
CLASS Training for Leaders (for Early Learning Directors)
CLASS Observer Training (for Early Learning Directors who have completed one 24-hour segment)
