Free VPK Registration Event, August 24–28
Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County Hosts
all-day Registration Event for families to sign up for VPK
PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County (ELCP) is inviting families to take advantage of Florida’s free Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program during a special registration week August 24–28, 2026.
VPK is a free early learning program designed to prepare eligible children for kindergarten and beyond by building foundational skills and providing quality early learning experiences.
During the weeklong event, families can stop by for assistance with the VPK application process. Parents who need to apply or have already submitted an application can receive help and, if eligible, obtain their Certificate of Eligibility on the same day.

Dates: August 24–28, 2026
Time: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. daily
Location: Building 8, behind the Clearview Adult Education Center
Families are encouraged to stop by during the event to receive assistance with the VPK application process and take the next step toward enrolling their child for the 2026–27 school year.
“VPK provides families with an important opportunity to give their children a strong foundation for kindergarten and future learning,” said Lindsay Carson, CEO of ELCP. “We encourage eligible families to take advantage of this free program and visit us during the registration event for assistance.”
