Child Care Resource & Referral Community Outreach Specialist
Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a CCR&R Community Outreach Specialist for the Family Services department. This specialist is responsible for supporting families and providers in Pinellas County through the provision of CCR&R programs and services.
Essential Duties include:
- Assist with the delivery of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) services.
- Assist in the training and monitoring of Coalition staff.
- Participate in required trainings and conference calls.
- Be knowledgeable with CCR&R Program Requirements.
- Responsible for assisting clients/families in locating quality childcare, the types of childcare available, and the importance of being their child’s first teacher.
- Be knowledgeable in community resources and provides referral information for services as needed, and distribute relevant parent education material, based on client needs.
- Process and maintain all family needs and satisfaction surveys submitted by clients.
- Maintain all complaint forms from clients and providers.
- Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual CCR&R reports by designated timeframes.
- Answer telephones and provide appropriate assistance to callers, including retrieving calls from the CCR&R voice mail.
- Provide technical support and assistance to families with using online registration via computer kiosks and telephone.
- Plan, coordinate and attend community outreach and training events.
- Provide backup support to VPK and Wait List as needed.
Requirements include:
- High School diploma plus five (5) years or more of direct related experience.
- Social Services experience and/or Associate’s degree preferred.
- Marketing experience preferred.
- At least one year of customer service related experience.
- CCR&R Level 2 certification completed within 6 months of employment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Available to work evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred

Salary: $41,142.17/yr.
Hours: 40 Hours per week. Evenings and weekends may be required for events. Normal Coalition Hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. Travel is required.
Provider Contracts Administrative Specialist
Administrative Specialist
Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for an Administrative Specialist for the Provider Contracts department. This program supporter will provide administrative and clerical support to the department.
Essential Duties include:
GENERAL & ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate staff
- Provide initial response, direction, technical assistance and support for contracted providers contacting the department.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail
- Maintain, track general liability and workers comp insurance for both SR and VPK providers.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for direct supervisor
- Basic clerical duties including faxing, typing memos, preparing agendas, organizing paperwork, maintaining Department Calendar and ordering office supplies.
- Responsible for data entry and updating information and records.
- General mailing of documents to child care providers as needed
REPORTING & DATA ENTRY:
- Enter and maintain high volume of data into web based systems
- Establish, maintain and update information system records, lists and files
- Schedule monthly and weekly queries and reports to be run for the program
- Print and collate monthly reports from the database
- Create and maintain spreadsheets as requested by supervisors
- Complete PDF scanning frequently throughout the month documenting referrals, correspondence, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements include:
- High School diploma or GED plus (3) years or more of direct related experience. Associates Degree or Two (2) years of college in field related to specific job functions preferred
- Access to reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

- Ability to develop and maintain databases
Salary: $36,230.25/yr.
Hours: Normal Coalition Hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. 40 Hours per week
Some travel may be required.
