Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a CCR&R Community Outreach Specialist for the Family Services department. This specialist is responsible for supporting families and providers in Pinellas County through the provision of CCR&R programs and services.

Essential Duties include:

    • Assist with the delivery of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) services.
    • Assist in the training and monitoring of Coalition staff.
    • Participate in required trainings and conference calls.
    • Be knowledgeable with CCR&R Program Requirements.
    • Responsible for assisting clients/families in locating quality childcare, the types of childcare available, and the importance of being their child’s first teacher.
    • Be knowledgeable in community resources and provides referral information for services as needed, and distribute relevant parent education material, based on client needs.
    • Process and maintain all family needs and satisfaction surveys submitted by clients.
    • Maintain all complaint forms from clients and providers.
    • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual CCR&R reports by designated timeframes.
    • Answer telephones and provide appropriate assistance to callers, including retrieving calls from the CCR&R voice mail.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to families with using online registration via computer kiosks and telephone.
    • Plan, coordinate and attend community outreach and training events.
    • Provide backup support to VPK and Wait List as needed.

Requirements include:

    • High School diploma plus five (5) years or more of direct related experience.
    • Social Services experience and/or Associate’s degree preferred.
    • Marketing experience preferred.
    • At least one year of customer service related experience.
    • CCR&R Level 2 certification completed within 6 months of employment.

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Professional Development Trainer. The Professional Development Trainer is responsible to assess, develop, coordinate and facilitate trainings for early childhood professionals through the Coalition’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) to increase the advancement of a high quality early learning workforce in Pinellas County.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:
    • Conduct a training needs analysis to determine the appropriate method of training to be used, and to evaluate training methods to ensure the Early Learning Coalition’s plans and goals are met
    • Develop curriculum for current and future training opportunities offered to the community
    • Assist in the development of the Professional Development Plan for PDI
    • Perform required trainings
    • Assist in the development of the training times & CEUs, to include coordination and facilitation duties
    • Participate on the ELC Professional Development Committee

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Quality Specialist - Assessor who will perform site based assessments and technical assistance to early learning classrooms to promote high quality early learning environments for state and local initiatives.

Essential Duties include:

  • Perform assessments including, but not limited to the Classroom Observation Scoring System (CLASS) in centers and child care homes
  • Enter CLASS assessment scores into WELS database
  • Maintain reliability in the CLASS assessment certification
  • Provide technical assistance to providers participating in quality programs including, but not limited to Provider Accreditation assistance

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is seeking a VPK Eligibility Specialist. The VPK Eligibility Specialist is responsible for eligibility determination, reenrollment determination and provider enrollment for the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) online registration system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

  • Responsible for determining eligibility with all required documentation through the VPK online registration system
  • Responsible for determining eligibility with all required documentation for re-enrollment through the VPK online system
  • Responsible for determining eligibility for postponed enrollment
  • Responsible for processing child enrollments through the Provider Portal online system including document libraries
  • Maintains case records, both computerized and hard copy, on all clients, provider, and maintains files and case notes in a pre-determined format
  • Coordinates client eligibility with parents and childcare providers as based on State, Federal and Early Learning Coalition guidelines
  • Ensures parents and providers understand rules regarding eligibility for services

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for Administrative Specialists for two site locations, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. The program supporters will be the first point of contact with clients as they visit our locations and will provide assistance accordingly, as well as provide administrative and clerical support to the department.

Essential Duties include:

  • Maintain lobby, kiosk and play areas
  • Greet and assist clients at kiosks with on line application process and uploading documents to the portal
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Retrieve and distribute voicemails to appropriate staff
  • Perform basic clerical duties including, but not limited to data entry, faxing, typing memos, preparing agendas, and organizing paperwork, etc.

The Behavior Specialist will create and execute behavior intervention plans and provide support to families and professionals based on observations and screenings of children referred through the ASQ/RFS triage process.

Essential Duties include:

  • Complete ASQ-SE and observations for children referred for severe behavior concerns
  • Collaborate with Screening and Intervention staff and provide consultation as a behavior liaison
  • Provide technical assistance to providers regarding behavioral concerns in their classroom
  • Model and provide TA on PBS/Pyramid Model in the classroom
  • Support trauma informed quality care practices
  • Create behavior intervention plans in partnership with providers and parents/caregivers  to address the  reported and observed behavior concerns in the classroom
  • Make appropriate referrals as deemed necessary to (Part B, Part C and mental health) resources within the community
  • Develop a support system for guiding parents through follow-up services

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Program Supervisor of Behavior Intervention. The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing effective supervision and direction to Behavior Specialists in alignment with the Coalition’s policies and procedures, ensuring efficient results that meet all funder and state requirements.

Essential Duties include:

Collaborate with department leadership to effectively and efficiently implement and ensure:

  • Daily supervision of Behavior Specialist staff
  • Approve and coordinate leave time, follow staff discipline policy, address staff concerns and/or questions
  • Provide support, direction and guidance to staff
  • Train and support new hires within the team
  • Conduct regular organized staff meetings
  • Establish and manage a system for tracking data for outcomes and produce data as needed in various formats, including the tracking of expulsions
  • Monitor and organize assigned caseloads and zip code zones for Behavioral Intervention Team

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for an Administrative Specialist for the Provider Contracts department. This program supporter will provide administrative and clerical support to the department.

Essential Duties include:

GENERAL & ADMINISTRATIVE:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate staff
  • Provide initial response, direction, technical assistance and support for contracted providers contacting the department.
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail
  • Maintain, track general liability and workers comp insurance for both SR and VPK providers.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for direct supervisor
  • Basic clerical duties including faxing, typing memos, preparing agendas, organizing paperwork, maintaining Department Calendar and ordering office supplies.
  • Responsible for data entry and updating information and records.
  • General mailing of documents to child care providers as needed

REPORTING & DATA ENTRY:

  • Enter and maintain high volume of data into web based systems
  • Establish, maintain and update information system records, lists and files
  • Schedule monthly and weekly queries and reports to be run for the program
  • Print and collate monthly reports from the database
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets as requested by supervisors
  • Complete PDF scanning frequently throughout the month documenting referrals, correspondence, etc.
