Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a CCR&R Community Outreach Specialist for the Family Services department. This specialist is responsible for supporting families and providers in Pinellas County through the provision of CCR&R programs and services.

Essential Duties include:

    • Assist with the delivery of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) services.
    • Assist in the training and monitoring of Coalition staff.
    • Participate in required trainings and conference calls.
    • Be knowledgeable with CCR&R Program Requirements.
    • Responsible for assisting clients/families in locating quality childcare, the types of childcare available, and the importance of being their child’s first teacher.
    • Be knowledgeable in community resources and provides referral information for services as needed, and distribute relevant parent education material, based on client needs.
    • Process and maintain all family needs and satisfaction surveys submitted by clients.
    • Maintain all complaint forms from clients and providers.
    • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual CCR&R reports by designated timeframes.
    • Answer telephones and provide appropriate assistance to callers, including retrieving calls from the CCR&R voice mail.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to families with using online registration via computer kiosks and telephone.
    • Plan, coordinate and attend community outreach and training events.
    • Provide backup support to VPK and Wait List as needed.

Requirements include:

    • High School diploma plus five (5) years or more of direct related experience.
    • Social Services experience and/or Associate’s degree preferred.
    • Marketing experience preferred.
    • At least one year of customer service related experience.
    • CCR&R Level 2 certification completed within 6 months of employment.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Access to reliable transportation.
    • Available to work evenings and weekends.
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for Customer Service Representatives who will be responsible for receiving a high volume of inbound calls, scheduling appointments and providing resources to families, providers and community agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

    • Receive high volume of inbound calls from providers, families and community agencies
        • Follow established guidelines to provide excellent customer service in a prompt and efficient manner.
    • Identify customers’ needs to assist and provide solutions or direct as needed for additional follow-up.
    • Assist with provider inquiries
    • Provide general information about available resources
    • Input detailed history notations into database
    • Schedule appointments using appointment scheduling software
    • Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associates degree in related field is a plus
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus
    • One year of related experience in a call center or customer service environment handling high volume of calls preferred.

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Professional Development Trainer. The Professional Development Trainer is responsible to assess, develop, coordinate and facilitate trainings for early childhood professionals through the Coalition’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) to increase the advancement of a high quality early learning workforce in Pinellas County.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

 

 

 

 

    • Conduct a training needs analysis to determine the appropriate method of training to be used, and to evaluate training methods to ensure the Early Learning Coalition’s plans and goals are met

 

    • Develop curriculum for current and future training opportunities offered to the community

 

    • Assist in the development of the Professional Development Plan for PDI

 

    • Perform required trainings

 

    • Assist in the development of the training times & CEUs, to include coordination and facilitation duties

 

    • Participate on the ELC Professional Development Committee

 

    • Coordination and support for all ELC conferences

 

    • Assist in the marketing of the Institute with the child care community

 

    • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS include:

 

 

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in child development, early childhood or related field required

Essential Duties include:

  • Record meeting minutes and prepare agendas
  • Enter and maintain data in Apricot, Brookes, QPS, and WELS in a timely manner as needed
  • Prepare Purchase Requests
  • Verify inventory deliveries
  • Assist in the preparation of data displays for coaching purposes
  • Prepare resource materials for coaching
  • Collate assessment data by classroom and program level
  • Compile data for monthly screening reports and assist with annual reports
  • Communicate and provide technical assistance to providers and teachers completing program paperwork
  • Perform ASQ enforcement
  • Mail out referrals and screening result letters

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Developmental Screening Coordinator (DSC+). The Developmental Screening Coordinator (DSC+) will maintain a caseload and database for SR+ children. DSC+ facilitates bi-annual developmental screenings, develops and coordinates intervention plans and provide support to children, families and professionals based on observations and screenings of school readiness, SR+ children.

Essential Duties include:

  • Assist parents/providers in the completion of ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 screenings
  • Follow-up with parents and providers on all ASQ screenings received that show concerns
  • Observe and provide technical assistance to providers concerning developmental delays or social emotional concerns with regard to School Readiness children in their care
  • Develop a support system for guiding parents through follow-up services
  • Maintain assigned caseload
  • Manage a system for tracking data for all SR+ screening outcomes and produce data as needed in various formats
  • Create intervention plans in partnership with providers and parents/caregivers to address the developmental delays/concerns of school readiness children
  • Make appropriate referrals to Part B, Part C and mental health partners
  • Collaborate with in-house Behavior Specialists
  • Support trauma informed quality care practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in child development, early childhood or related field required

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Quality Specialist - Assessor who will perform site based assessments and technical assistance to early learning classrooms to promote high quality early learning environments for state and local initiatives.

Essential Duties include:

  • Perform assessments including, but not limited to the Classroom Observation Scoring System (CLASS) in centers and child care homes
  • Enter CLASS assessment scores into WELS database
  • Maintain reliability in the CLASS assessment certification
  • Provide technical assistance to providers participating in quality programs including, but not limited to Provider Accreditation assistance
  • Develop action plans with providers to support quality improvements
  • Provide resources for professionals
  • Recruit and support providers for quality programs
  • Provide training and coaching to professionals
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in, Early Childhood, or other related degree
  • Five years of experience in working in early childhood, elementary or special education or a related field, and experience training adult learners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • CLASS certification preferred. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
