What is the School Readiness (SR) Program?
The School Readiness Program offers curriculum-based early learning and school-age care for working families, individuals in career training or educational programs, and families and children with specific needs. The program is overseen by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Early Learning at the state level, and locally administered by the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County.
Benefits of being a School Readiness (SR) Provider
We support families eligible for School Readiness in covering the cost of care.
Technical support and coaching are available for educators.
Professional development and training opportunities are available in topics aligned with best practices for Early Childhood Education.
We provide Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) observations
to measure quality child-teacher interactions that guide professional development strategies.
Teachers have opportunities to participate in scholarship and incentive programs,
which offer a strategy for improving the early childhood workforce's education, compensation, and retention.
Eligibility to participate in other workforce and quality grants and funding provided exclusively to School Readiness Providers.
